QUALITY, BRAND NAME, USEFUL, INCENTIVE GIFTS
I'd like to toss out a couple of insights for offering promotional incentive gifts to someone for:
- taking a test drive, or
- opening an account
I'm sure there are other reasons for incentive gifts, but you get the idea.
If you offer a cheap chotchkie (a decorative knick knack with little or no purpose; an item that's worthless, disposable, or tacky) for an incentive gift, be prepared for a low return on what you're hoping the potential recipients will do. People are professional consumers these days. If you want them to act on whatever you're offering your incentive for, offer them something that is useful and will last for a very long time, even if it gets trampled by an 18 wheeler (remember the Mag-Lite commercial?). Using one of the items listed below for your promotional incentive gift will associate your name and message with a highly respected product. In other words, having your company name printed on a quality item, such as a Mag-Lite, naturally associates you and your company with quality.
Here are some of the quality, brand name, promotional products that will uplift, or maintain your image:
- Mag-Lite – Flashlight
- Victorinox – Swiss Army Knives, Watches, Cutlery
- Nike – Golf balls, Apparel
- Callaway – Golf balls, Apparel
- Rapala – Fishing lures
- Coleman – Coolers
- Parker Pens
- Waterman Pens
- Bic Pens (referring to the Schaefer pens)
- Knives – Leatherman, Gerber, Kershaw, BUCK, SOG
Ask yourself, "How would 'I' like to receive what I'm planning on giving out as a promotional incentive gift. If it's a useful, quality item, your recipients will love it and they'll act on whatever you're offering, just as you would!
